A Message From Rene’ Beyl, Operations and Engagement Manager
As I say goodbye to everyone after 15 and half years working for the Billings Chamber, I want to share how blessed I am to have worked alongside wonderful, caring, and creative people who are in this world to do good things for other people. They have been extended family to me. I have had the pleasure to meet amazing business owners, their employees, community leaders and entrepreneurs.
I am proud to have been an impact to the Billings community by working with our membership to connect them to each other, providing benefit services, and assisting to help hundreds thrive and succeed due to becoming involved in this organization.
It was my honor to celebrate success by hosting numerous ribbon cuttings and business celebrations. Highlights of these events were hosting one at the new Billings Landfill, dozens of creative business start-ups and my last one at the fabulous new Albertsons store on 54th and Grand Ave, where thousands of dollars were donated to organizations that give back to our city.
Unforgettable times were aiding businesses as the impacts of the COVID-19 pandemic set in through sharing resources and simply being there to listen as they faced challenges that no one ever expected. It was at times heartbreaking, but there were some successful breakthroughs that helped businesses weather the situation, one of which was our Work From Home campaign. There is no way to pick a favorite from our incredible Chamber Breakfast keynote speakers, they all shared leadership advice and had impactful stories.
Looking back, I recall my first event was Chamber Day at the Billings Mustangs at Cobb Field. The opportunity to travel to Spain with our facilitation of international travel will forever be a treasured journey. Collaborate meetings and the joyful chatter in the room as businesses bonded together for success will be missed as it became a favorite part of my role.
Cheers to everyone’s continued success and thank you for the memories!
Warmly,
Rene’
