Building Belonging

September 2024 – January 2025

The Billings Chamber of Commerce is dedicated to fostering a sense of welcoming and belonging for all individuals in our business community. Our mission is to develop a strong business climate and vibrant economy by serving the community in a leadership role thereby enhancing the quality of life. BUILD, formally known as our DEI Immersion Program, is a five-month course offered annually. It brings together people and businesses committed to enhancing their workplaces through increased awareness and progress toward creating environments that are truly welcoming and inclusive.

WHO SHOULD ATTEND?

The program is designed to enhance leadership skills and improve employee attraction and retention. It also increases customer satisfaction with improved communication and understanding creating a positive customer experience.  By targeting these groups, the BUILD program can effectively enhance leadership capabilities, promote inclusivity, and address the specific needs of Montana’s diverse population.

THROUGH THIS PROGRAM, PARTICIPATING BUSINESSES AND INDIVIDUALS CAN:

• become a place to work that retains and attracts talent
• create an inclusive and productive work environment
• facilitate diverse and inclusive interactions
• learn how to have difficult conversations
• grow their network

Combined, our four series’ of DEII workshops have welcomed over 100 participants representing 40 organizations.
