I would like a parking garage at the Billings airport. I am willing to pay more to park there. I just hate having to park so far away from ther terminal, especially in winter. The parking garage should also be automoated. With modern technology, there is no reason to have an attendant.
I would like to see an urban park around 20th Street downtown. It would be great to have another park downtown and to have a covered street or intersection like skypoint. Another meeting point.
The parking lot at Rimrock Metra Park should be landscaped to the same standards that are in place on Shiloh Road. This would make Metra a much more attractive place to visit.
I would like to see a dedicated bike trail from 54th Street West to Molt. It would be a great ride and it would be so much safer.
I think we should pick one day of the year to celebrate and recognize the great public employees who work in Billings. This should include City, County, federal, state, and school district employees. One of the reasons that it is easier to do business in Billings (than any place else in Montana) is because of our public employees and their can do attitude. We need to support and encourage that. We get things done in Billings that no other community in Montana can do. We need to thank the public employees who help make that happen.
I would like to see a light rail to connect Broadway with Metra Park.
A bike trail around the Billings Logsn Int'l Airport. This could easily be tied in with the existing trail on the rims, and possibly Alkali Creek as well.
We would like to see more green space (park space) in downtown Billings.
Billings needs and wants more bike trails and multi-use trails. It would be great to have a trail that connects Laurel and Billings. The trail along the river needs to be connected and expanded. Billings is Montana's Trailhead---and it needs a lots more trails.
I would like to see a new convention center and performing arts center located in the downtown area. The convention center should seat at least 2,500 people and the performing arts center should hold 2,000 people. This multi-events center would provide great services to our community and would be great for tourism.
